Things are still bad, bills piling up and not being able to pay them. They're threatening to turn everything off on us. And we still have to find a new place to live, landlord is kicking us out because he doesn't want to deal with Section 8 anymore. :( The semester is over, and I was barely able to concentrate enough to get everything done in time, but I managed to pass my classes. Now on winter break, and I want to try to do some of my own stuff, hopefully I can. I still have so much stuff from my classes to post; I have a few days off these week, so there's a possibility that you guys may be getting bombarded with submissions from me. lol Anyways, I'm tired, going to rest as much as I can before the next semester starts. :iconimdeadplz:

Downhill Slope

Ever since my grandmother passed, things just keep going downhill. We continue having trouble paying bills and buying food. We lost another family member, my uncle who passed from pancreatic cancer. And now, to top it all off, our landlord wants us out. He told us he had been holding off doing it because of my grandmother; but now that she is gone, he has asked us to move. He is also kicking out the neighbors on the third floor. We have Section 8 that helps us pay rent; they don't want to approve his rent increase, so now he doesn't want to take Section 8 anymore. The only good thing is that he is giving us until June to find a place. Problem is, it's going to be very difficult to find a place that takes Section 8. Man, this sucks, I really hope we can find a place. Our family has been here for 51 years, it's going to be SO damn weird being in a new place.

Just like the title says, this is so far the worst summer I have ever had. I wanted to try to keep up with checking deviantArt after the semester ended, but things have happened that keeps me from doing so. No sooner does my semester ends, my grandmother ends up in the hospital; and has remained there since. Her kidneys are failing, and has multiple infections going on. Then a few weeks ago, I found out that an uncle and aunt on my father's side have cancer. Uncle had stage 4 pancreatic cancer, aunt has breast cancer; don't know how bad hers is though. Then, to top it off, we are having financial difficulties as well. My mother would get a check every month for over $600 for taking care of my grandmother; but because it has been over 40 days since my grandmother has been home, she will no longer be getting that check and it helped with the bills. This summer SUCKS ASS! I never even feel like coming on anymore. But, I may have to try to do commissions or something to get some extra money. A couple people told me to put a Craigs List ad for commissions, but I'm not sure if that would be a good idea. I also wanted to try to find a better job this summer, but I'm not sure how good it would look if I had to call out or request off a bunch with a new job. Sorry, not trying to seem like I'm making a pity me journal here, I just needed to vent a little bit. :(

:iconeditplz: Well, this summer just hit an all time low. Sadly, we lost my grandmother. She went into septic shock Tuesday morning, and had died by 7:30 Tuesday evening. Mom is taking it the hardest, and walks around the house in a complete depression. So I'm doing my best to keep it together so I don't make her even more upset. My uncle's boss was so incredibly kind to pay for the services for my grandmother, she is awesome. I wish there was some way of paying her back.

Happy to Make You an Offer by GoodGirl-BadGirl This was my nana, and I am going to miss her so much. :tears:

:iconeditplz: :iconeditplz: Things just continue to get worse and worse. My grandmother got social security checks every month. So when the last one came, we called social security to see if it was ours to keep to use for rent. The woman on the phone told my mother that it was ours to keep, and we didn't have to worry about giving it back. But of course, after she had already made a money order for the rent, they tried to take it back from her account. So now she has to put it back in, and I'll have to use up what's left in my account for rent; which means we now have no money for bills or food. So if I end up disappearing from DA for good, it's because everything got turned off on us, or possibly ended up without a home. THIS SUCKS!! I just want to scream right now, it's so frustrating.

Working and being in school is making it hard to get on DA regularly. Because of this, my messages build up so much; which makes me get overwhelmed and not want to get on more. lol But I seriously need to get on more; I had like 6,000 deviations in my inbox, but I got it down to a little over 3,000. I actually faved so many things, that I got a message saying that I couldn't fave anymore due to faving too many in a short period of time. LMAO! I didn't even know that that was possible. :lmao: I haven't even been posting my stuff that I have done in school like I said I would, I should look through my stuff and see what I like the most and post it. :) There are a couple of figure drawings I did last week in my figure drawing class that I like, may post those. Anyway; how has everyone been doing, what have I been missing?

My DA Story

2 min read
Yeah, I'm late; but I haven't been on in a while. ^^; I've been on deviantArt since June 20th 2008, and I loved it from the moment I started. Sharing art and making new online friends has been a lot of fun. I'm happy I joined this site; not only because of new friends, but because I might not be back in school if I hadn't joined. The reason why I say that is because 1 particular deviant actually gave me money to take a drawing class a couple years ago. A complete stranger from a different country liked my stuff enough and wanted to help me out so much, that he just gave me money. I didn't even ask, he just offered out of the blue when I had posted a journal about thinking of going back to school. I had never had any interaction with him before that either. I know what you're thinking, why would I take money from a total stranger on the Internet? I hesitated at first, even looked at his profile and noticed that he was apparently a professor from another country who seemed to like giving money to help people. He has since deactivated his account due to the overwhelming number of people asking for handouts and using it for stupid shit (don't blame him there), like plushies for example. Anyway; I was so touched that he would do that, I think it was just the kick in the ass I needed to get going. So now I'm going for a degree in graphic design. :) I wish there was a way for me to contact him, I was hoping to be able to pay him back when I was able to; but now I'm afraid I may never get that chance. Anyway, that's my story.
